A huge thank you to everyone who came out and helped make our Back to School Bash such a great day! Whether you packed backpacks, cooked hot dogs, helped with Upward evaluations, welcomed families, cleaned up, or simply spent time playing in the foam meeting and loving our neighbors, you helped our church put its best foot forward in the community. Events like this take a lot of hands, and I am grateful for the way so many of you jumped in and served together.

And now that the Back to School Bash is behind us, I suppose we can finally slow down for a little while… just kidding. The ladies are kicking off their Crazy Busy book study this week, and the men are being invited to gather at the wonderfully reasonable hour of 4AM every Friday, Upward registration closes August 22 with practices beginning soon after, and our 5th Sunday Dinner is waiting for us at the end of the month.

Upward Flag Football

We’re excited to be launching Upward Flag Football this fall as a way to serve and connect with families in our community.

  • Our league is open to boys and girls K5 – 5th grade.
  • The cost is $100 per child
  • More than one child? Save an extra $10 on additional registrations.
  • Deadline for registration is 8/22/2026.

Food Pantry Needs

Our food pantry allows us to respond when families in our church and community find themselves facing an unexpected need. While you are at the grocery store, or placing your next pickup/delivery order, please consider adding a few extra shelf-stable items. Canned vegetables, soups, pasta, rice, cereal, peanut butter, canned meat, boxed meals, and other basic staples are always helpful.

Ladies Monthly Bible Study – Tuesday, August 18th at 6pm

Life has a way of filling every available space. Between work, family, church, responsibilities, and the constant pull of our phones, many of us feel tired before the day has even begun. This month, our ladies are beginning a study through Crazy Busy by Kevin DeYoung, a practical and encouraging book about the dangers of a hurried life and the peace that comes from putting our priorities back in their proper place.

This will be more than a book discussion. It will be an opportunity to slow down, enjoy fellowship, and encourage one another as we learn to live with greater purpose, wisdom, and dependence on Christ. All ladies are invited to join, even if your schedule already feels a little crazy busy!

Fourth Watch – Fridays – 0400

The men are doing something a little crazy of their own. Every Friday morning at 4 AM, the men will gather for Fourth Watch, a time to seek the Lord before the noise and responsibilities of the day begin.

There’s no breakfast, no entertainment, and no elaborate program. We’ll open the Bible, talk honestly, and spend serious time in prayer for four things. For the Lord’s guidance, for our own hearts, for one another, and for our families. Bring your Bible. Come looking for the Lord.

Fourth Watch is open not only to the men of Redeemer, but to Christian men throughout our community who want brothers who will encourage them, challenge them, and help them keep watch over the things God has entrusted to them.

Fifth Sunday Potluck Dinner on the Grounds – August 30th after the Morning Worship Service

Mark your calendar and plan to stay after the morning worship service for our Fifth Sunday Dinner on the Grounds! These meals are a wonderful opportunity to slow down, share a table, and enjoy time with the church family beyond our usual Sunday morning conversations.

Come ready for good food, warm fellowship, and the chance to get to know someone a little better. Whether you have been part of Redeemer for years or have only recently begun attending, we would love for you to join us!

A Simple Way to Give Faithfully

Giving is one of the ways we worship the Lord, trust His provision, and support the ministry He has entrusted to our church. Of course, Sunday mornings can be full. Between conversations, children, serving, singing, listening, and getting out the door, it is easy for even good intentions to get crowded out. Through our online giving page, you can give a one-time gift or set up recurring monthly giving. This helps make generosity a steady and prayerful rhythm. Thank you for giving faithfully, generously, and joyfully as we seek to glorify Christ, cultivate holiness, and love generously together.

The Bridge

Last week, we watched four friends tear through a roof to get a paralyzed man in front of Jesus. Everyone could see the man’s physical problem, but Jesus went straight to the deeper need: “Son, your sins are forgiven.” Then, to prove that He truly had authority to forgive sins, Jesus told the man to stand up, take his mat, and walk home. The crowd left amazed, but the religious leaders were already beginning to ask a dangerous question: Who does this man think He is?

This week, Jesus is going to make that question even harder to ignore. He leaves the crowded house, walks down by the sea, and calls a man named Levi to follow Him. The problem is that Levi is a tax collector. He was the kind of man most respectable Jews would have considered a traitor, a thief, and a sinner. And Jesus doesn’t merely speak to him. He calls him into His circle, then sits down at a table full of people just like him. If forgiving the paralytic was scandalous, eating with sinners is about to make things personal.

Weekly Life Together

Wednesday Night Dinner, Kids, and Prayer

Join us each Wednesday evening as we gather for a shared family meal and time together.

Sunday Morning Bible Study and Worship

Sundays at 9:30am is our Bible Study hour. From children to adults, each class is focused on helping us grow in understanding of God’s word and encouraging one another to live out our faith.

Then at 10:45am, we come together for corporate worship as one body. Our aim is simple: to humble ourselves before the throne of Jesus our King and to joyfully worship Him side by side as families. Kids and adults all share in this time as we sit under the same truth and fix our eyes on Christ together.

Breaking Bread Groups

Throughout the week, we gather in homes to discuss God’s Word and to pray for each other as we do life together. We currently have groups that meet on Sunday afternoons, as well as Tuesday and Thursday nights. If you are interested in joining or starting a group, please talk to someone in leadership.
