What’s Happening – June 5, 2026

This Saturday (a.k.a. tomorrow), we are looking forward to the First Saturday Summer Celebration at the church with our friends from the Carvalho Judo and Jiu-jitsu Dojo. We will gather from 10:00 AM to 1:00 PM for brunch, fellowship, and plenty of fun for the kids on the water slide. These days are a simple but meaningful opportunity to love our community, build relationships, and talk together about life, faith, and family. Come with something to share for brunch, and be ready to welcome guests, enjoy the day, and look for opportunities to encourage someone in the Lord.

Also, please be in prayer for the Southern Baptist Convention Annual Meeting happening this week in Orlando. Messengers from churches across the country, including Pastor Logan and his wife Teresa, will gather to discuss important matters of cooperation, mission, and doctrine. A couple of weeks ago, I shared some thoughts about the major amendment expected to come before the convention, and I would encourage you to read that article. Pray for wisdom, humility, clarity, and unity as our churches seek to remain faithful to Christ and work together for the advance of the gospel.

Online Giving

It’s easy for even the best intentions to get lost in the busyness of a Sunday morning, and sometimes what we planned to give simply slips through the cracks. One simple way to stay consistent in worshipful generosity is to give online through Redeemer Baptist Church online giving page, where you can give one time or set up monthly recurring donations. This allows your giving to remain faithful and intentional, not dependent on the distractions of a given week, but rooted in a steady rhythm of trust and stewardship as you support the work God is doing through our church.

The Bridge

Last week, we celebrated baptisms and talked about what it means to be an ambassador for Christ. This week, we will begin a new series from the Gospel of Mark.

Mark does not ease us in slowly. He moves quickly. From the very beginning, Mark wants us to see that Jesus is not merely a teacher with helpful wisdom. He is the King bringing God’s kingdom, the Son of God stepping into the battle, and the Servant who has come to save.

That means Mark is not just a book to study. It is a call to follow. Again and again, Jesus walks up to ordinary people and says, “Follow me.” Fishermen leave their nets. Sinners are welcomed to the table. The sick are healed. Religious leaders are confronted. Crowds are amazed, confused, offended, and afraid. And through it all, Jesus keeps moving toward the cross.

That is where Mark is taking us. To follow Jesus is not merely to admire Him from a distance or agree with Him in theory. It is to trust Him, learn from Him, walk with Him, and surrender to Him. The disciples will often misunderstand Him, and we will probably recognize ourselves in them. But Jesus is patient with weak disciples. He teaches them, corrects them, bears with them, and ultimately gives His life as a ransom for many.

So as we begin Mark together, let’s come ready to see Jesus clearly. Let’s come ready to be challenged, comforted, corrected, and called. The invitation is simple, but it is not small: Follow Jesus.

Weekly Life Together

Tuesday Night Bible Study

Join us on Tuesday nights from 6-7pm as we explore how to study the Bible with clarity, confidence, and joy. Whether you are brand new to Scripture or have been reading for years, this class will help us ask good questions, see how the Bible fits together as one story fulfilled in Christ, and respond faithfully to God’s Word.

You can also find a collection of resources for the class here.

Wednesday Night Services will Resume on July 22!

Even though we aren’t meeting for dinner and the children’s program, we still want to focus on Prayer. There will be no prayer meeting this week (because of the Convention), but through the Summer and anytime, you can Submit your prayer requests and join the Prayer Team.

Sunday Morning Bible Study and Worship

Sundays at 9:30am is our Bible Study hour. From children to adults, each class is focused on helping us grow in understanding of God’s word and encouraging one another to live out our faith.

Then at 10:45am, we come together for corporate worship as one body. Our aim is simple: to humble ourselves before the throne of Jesus our King and to joyfully worship Him side by side as families. Kids and adults all share in this time as we sit under the same truth and fix our eyes on Christ together.

Breaking Bread Groups

Throughout the week, we gather in homes to discuss God’s Word and to pray for each other as we do life together. We currently have groups that meet on Sunday afternoons and Thursday nights. If you are interested in joining or starting a group, please talk to someone in leadership.

We’ll begin with a pilot group from within our church before opening it more broadly. If you are interested, please email [email protected]

At Redeemer Baptist Church our mission is to Glorify Jesus by Growing in Holiness and Loving Generously. Please leave a quick Google review and like or follow us on social media. It’s a small thing that helps more people in our community find us.
